Hi. I'm Mike Shackleford with the Wizard of Odds and I am at the 2017 cutting edge table game conference at the Paris Casino in Las Vegas.

I'm here with Alisa of High Variance games demonstrating their new game Super Texas Hold'em. Hi, Alyssa, can you show me the game, please. Tell me a little bit about it.

[00:00:27] Alisa: Super Texas Hold'em is a different and simpler way for people to play Texas Hold'em. They're able to increase their bets two times as opposed to only decreasing their bet every time the cards are shown.

It's a lot better, it's simpler and it's a way for players to make more money that way.

[00:00:46] Michael: Okay, sounds fun.

May I play a few hands?

[00:00:48] Alisa: Yes. Okay, place your bets, please. These two always have to equal the blind in the ante. Perfect. Each player including the dealer are dealt two hands or two cards.

Super Holdem

Now you have the option:

to either bet one time your bet to three times your bet depending on how confident your hand is. It's really up to you. Perfect. Okay. I burn one card, deal out three for the board.

Now it's up to you…

…how confident you feel now for it either betting two times your bets or five times your bet. Okay, perfect. Run another one. I always reveal my hand before I turn over the river. Two and a queen.

All right I have a pair of sixes

All you're looking for is just to beat my pair of sixes. There's no qualifier. high hand wins. I have a pair of sixes, unfortunately, it beats your ace high so I will-- there you go. You're basically just looking for a high hand or beat my pair.

One more time

Two cards each. All right. Burning one card. Three cards on the flop. All right. Kings. I have Kings with the 10 high. All you have to do is basically just beat my 10 high.

Awesome. You win, you got your ace high beat my 10 perfect.

[00:02:45] Michael: One more?

[00:02:46] Alisa: Yes. Flop out.

All right I have nothing

All you have to do is pair or beat my seven. Nice, queen high. Your ante and your blind are always gonna pay on a straight or higher other than that it's always going to be a push with the deal. Okay.

  6. The dealer then reveals their five-card hand and the player and dealer will then make their best possible five card hand using one, two or none of the community cards assigned to the Players or Dealer.
